Spain - Costa Calida to Costa Blanca

As we got closer we saw the Monteagudo castle located on the top of a hill with a well preserved fortress. Above the castle, at the summit, was the Heart of Jesus Christ sculpture (14m high). It was built in 1951 to replace the original statue which was demolished in 1936 during one of the town's many takeovers. It doesn't seem to be accessible by foot so we drove around the hill and had a look from the other side.
